Farming & Breeding
Bethany Tod:
Horses are a passion for Bethany: she has a connection with them which is not easily described or put into words. Bethany has been owned by horses for many years, riding as soon as she was able at about 2 years old and showing since she was about nine years old. Competing very successfully on the breed, open, and 4-H circuits in Showmanship (including several Showman of Showmen competitions where she had to show everything from cattle and sheep to chickens and rabbits after winning in the equine division!), Halter, Western Pleasure, Western Horsemanship, Western Riding, Trail, Hunt Seat Equitation, Hunter Under Saddle, Hunter Hack, Barrel Racing, Pole Bending, and fun events like Egg & Spoon and Down & Back, Bethany and her horses have been the recipients of numerous year end, circuit, high point, and zone awards. Appaloosas, American Quarter Horses, and American Paint Horses have played important roles in her life. Several weekends a month she can usually be found on the AQHA or APHA circuit.
Bethany is the Managing Partner of Cross Winds Farm, LLC, a breeding farm in Pendleton County, where they help horse owners wishing to participate in Kentucky's new incentive program.
