Tracks & Racing

Keith Kinmon:

I became a Thoroughbred Trainer by accident. I have had horses for more than 20 years with Donald Hughes, Sr. another horse trainer. As soon as I began with Donald, he said "you are going to be hands on aren't you?" And I did, more and more.

Today, I have 7 horses in training, no full time employees and two outside owners. I run primarily on the Kentucky Racing Circuit with our horses and train out of Turfway year-round. I love it. It is truly a passion of mine, being with the horses and working with the owners. It is a great job.

But not my only one, I still have my Steel Business in Dry Ridge and a farm there with 22 Acres. I have raised my 5 children here in Northern Kentucky and want to keep it that way.

I race Thoroughbred Horses in Kentucky, because that is where you are supposed to race Thoroughbred Horses. I will continue to race as long as I can.
